Announcement Title : Fundraising Effort for Shufang
Message :Hi everyone, I believe most of you would know by now that one of our batchmates, Shufang (or Joan, as some of us might know her as), is in the terminal stage of cancer. Both RGS and RJC, together with the help of her friends (especially the NCC girls), have been raising funds for her throughout this year. A substantial amount has been raised, but of late, she will be requiring medication that will cost approximately $6000 a month. A group of us is looking into bringing our batch together during the May-July holiday period (while the overseas girls are back) for a fundraising effort. Any ideas and help would be much appreciated. Perhaps the girls more informed about fundraising over the year could tell us more about what has been done and how more we can help? I visited her today and understand we should start planning soon. I know we are having exams, I end on 3 May and am ready to work on it as soon as possible. yupz got the following mail from aziah sent to this rg2002 commnuity which liling managed to set up in our nus network for all the our batch pple in studying in nus to keep in touch (bravo to LILING!)... actually i guess most of us have heard about shufang's condition from a straits times article during last yr's xmas n i was really shocked to hear about it cos really who would expect this kind of thing to happen to some1 we noe... yes even though none of us here noe shufang personally, we were schoolmates in rg n rj.. n tt counts for sth doesnt it? anw liling's been telling me the NCC gals frm our batch has been helping shufang raise money for her medical fees which is really super damn high... yupz so will be updating u guys soon when i hear anymore news from liling or aziah on any fundraising efforts so tt we can all help in every single way we can... SISTERS IN LEARNING SISTERS AT HEART... let's all pray to wateva god we believe in for shufang's health...
