An exciting week =)

This is my neighbour's new dog. cool huh? the floppy things are not its ears, its ears are actually very small. it's just the fur around the ears that cover the poor ears while the rest of its fur around the body is quite short, so the body looks kinda elongated.

anyway, it's been a busy week. i started my attachment at Tan Tock Seng Hospital which is further from my house than I thought, about 1h by train. and i work regular hours(9-530), so i'm stuck in the peak hour crush in the train everyday...

but there are fun parts too. the pharmacists we are attached to all walk very fast, so i try my best to keep up (with my short legs). and some patients really take a LOT of medications (one patient had 15 medications!) so i wonder how they remember to take them and what side effects to watch out for. it can be quite hot though in the non-air conditioned wards. there are many people in the wards, from docs to nurses, pharmacists to therapists. I met a very nice nurse who let us follow him around and explained to us what he was doing eg tube feeding, which was really an eye-opener to me up close.
