Do you know? Tomatos are not plucked when they are ripe but when they are half ripe. After plucking the tomatos, you must leave them for a few days before they ripen. If you wait until the tomatos ripen before plucking them, they will split and become spoiled. I didn't know all these until a four days ago when my mum's friend gave her a tomato which she grew herself. More than half of the tomato was green and it looked like it's just starting to ripen. I was wondering why her friend gave her an unripe tomato since she can wait until it ripens before plucking it and my mum criticised me for being so ignorant about growing tomatos =) below is the enlarged picture of the tomato, taken today =)
